Key conclusions from the debate on the referendum

The Institute for Social Integration (ISI) - Sofia and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) – Brussels, carry out "Monitoring of the local elections and the referendum, 2015".

Traditionally, for the fifth consecutive time since 2011, we monitor the pre-electoral and electoral processes in the context of the forthcoming local elections in October, with a special focus on the upcoming national referendum. For this purpose, the team of ISI has developed an interactive web platform which has already been presented to the media. Its aim is to act as a self-orientation tool for the voters in connection with the dispute for electronic voting. The main arguments "Yes" and "No" are shown as circles, which are automatically generated, based on the pool of publications. By clicking with the mouse, anyone can reach the original texts and links. The user can narrow down the chart to certain authors or texts that contain a key word that he/she is personally interested in. The user can also add new words which he/she would like to follow when used. The platform covers the period from scheduling the referendum till October 21st, and it also covers all official positions of the registered political parties and initiative committees during the campaign. The platform is located at: http://www.izborni-poslania-isi.com

A summary of the main conclusions so far, from the whole debate “for or against the remote electronic voting” through the platform, can be found here.
