Stefan Georgiev, ISI: The discussion on majority voting system is extremely late

Everything that had to be debated - pros, cons, advantages and disadvantages of the majority system - had to happen prior to the referendum - said Stefan Georgiev (Member of the Board of ISI) this morning on BNR. Unfortunately, this discussion did not happen. The political parties themselves are accountable for that because it was them that abdicated from this conversation - added Georgiev.

Currently, a compensatory belated debate has begun, which was initiated by the political parties on, as it seems, how their future will be realized - because that’s what this conversation is about. According to Georgiev it seems that the issue of reducing the subsidies for the parties is being neglected. But it is also very important. Because if the majoritarian system leads to feudalism and local bondage, the other option leads to their hardening - inability to replace or change.
