On 1^st March, in Rome, the Congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES) will be held, which will be attended by representatives of Left parties of the EU, as well as related organizations. One of them is the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), where ISI is a member since 2006. During the PES Congress it will be represented by three delegates - Massimo D'Alema (former Prime Minister of Italy), Ernst Stetter (Secretary General of FEPS) and Katya Koleva (Chairman of the Board of ISI and a member of FEPS management).

The Congress will launch a campaign for the European elections and will adopt a Common Manifest for the participation of the European Left. Within the Congress, a PES candidate will be nominated for President of the European Commission.
